Broadside 12 / The Kennington Workshops Map

Description

We began our ‘New Typography Workshop’ map of Walworth & Kennington in September 2018 as a piece to use for promotion & to establish the proximity of the two workshop spaces // Conceived as an A1 print that would be folded to A4 – Phil Gambrill came to help us define the composition and Mary Asiedu / Kathryn Forster & Rosey Trickett designed & set the ornamented ‘green spaces’ for a two-day metal type workshop in late October 2018 // The A1 Broadside was designed set & printed across nine days in September & October 2018 in two limited edition of thirty on 145gsm Zerkall ‘Rough’ & a 125gsm coated paper & both printed in seven colours / Silver / Black / Fluorescent Orange – with a special mixed Pink / 032 Red / Process Blue & a Darkened Green. Emma Lewis documented the process on two occasions with some lovely photographs.
